As a well-regarded leading Employment Law Practitioner, Sebastian Burg brings long-standing experience and by many Fortune 500 clients highly appreciated expertise in national and international employment law matters.

His practice focuses on employment contracts, transfer of undertaking, outsourcing, contingent work force and flexibility, international employment matters, individual and multiple employment terminations, collective lay-offs and closing of enterprises, industrial relations and industrial actions, employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, corporate governance and restrictive covenants. He also handles negotiations with trade unions on collective bargaining agreements, and he represents local and multinational corporations before the Belgian courts in employment litigation.

Before joining ELL. as a founding partner, Sebastian has been a member of the Employment Practice Group of Baker McKenzie in Belgium for more than 20 years, of which more than 10 years as a partner with Baker McKenzie.

Sebastian held an academic appointment as teaching assistant at the Institute of Labour Law (KU Leuven) from 1999 through 2001.

In 2003, he was member of the team of the Social Department of the Belgian Employer Federation (VBO FEB).

Sebastian is a member of the Brussels bar since 2001.
